Ha ha, not the most inventive title, but whatever XD I spent a good portion of today on this, because... I randomly felt like drawing Toadette!
But hey, she's cool, so why not?
You may know Miss Toadette from Mario Kart: Double Dash, Paper Mario 2, and Mario Party 6 (I'm not forgetting anything, am I?), and a Super Mario World-esque Fire Flower. I'm not really sure if they have those smiley kinda "^_^" eyes on the side, but that's what I remember them looking like. Bah, I was playing Super Mario World just two days ago, I should be able to remember these things! XD They look like oversized tulips, don't they?
I know the colors are off in a few places (like, her hair is technically about the same color as her hat), and the outfit colors aren't exact, either, but it's my artistic license and I'll do with it as I please, dangit!
I was also playing around with light sources in this pic; I wasn't originally intending to do a sunset-y picture, but while coloring I decided to put in bolder shadows, and I needed a bright background. So there you go!
The lineart of this is so meeeeeessy, yargh! Anyone know any techniques for doing really clean lineart? Anyone? (it was done in openCanvas with a tablet, by the by) My constantly shaky linework is getting on my nerves XD
