Artist's Comments

This would be the titular character of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's The Little Prince, only how Morgan pictures him. My imagination is less ugly, of course, but my artistic ability is only so refined. It's one of my very favorite books; you should really read it if you haven't :heart:

It's close enough to the original illustrations, I think. Blond hair, green outfit... he had a red bowtie in the original but I like scarves :D

The sketch was a full-body shot and even had his rose next to him (so it was easier to tell what book I was artistically wrecking), but I ended up cropping it because I'm terrible at inking legs/feet XD; drat it all!

I originally wasn't going to submit this, 'cause the original sketch looked 10x better and it's not video game fanart (I can already hear some of my watchers toppling in shock!). Heck, the sketch was sitting around for a few weeks without me lining it, 'till a few days ago I was reminded to finish it due to watching Futurama when the "Route of All Evil" episode decided to air XD (wherein a scene has the Little Prince getting smacked with a newspaper)

Little Prince!
I remember watching the live-action movie, watching the animated version and... just recently, read it in the Coles bookshop (I should've bought it... T_T ).

Does this bring back nostalgia~

Currently, everything remotely witty and enticing I can possibly think of refuses to fit in the small space for a signature provided. Oh well. Better mindless drivel than an oversized signature. Riiight?

Yeah, they did have a live-action Little Prince. I remember watching it when I was.... 2nd or 4th grade in private school. I think they got the lines from the book to a T (especially the part with the Sheep-drawing scene).
